Maeve, or as she is more commonly known as, Songblade, has very dark eyes, and her curly black hair ends halfway down in a silver fall that reaches her knees. She usually wears her hair in two braids that cover her ears and twine together on the top of her head. If you ask her why this is, she will only tell you that it is one of the ways others of her "breeding" can identify her. It is usually done so that the silver, not the black, is showing.

There are many things about her race that are different, such as the fact that unlike competitive-runners, she is able to run for long, long periods of time without stopping, and upon being "Chosen" she was given an animal form to run as, as well as a human one, and can shift between that form and her human one, and any combination thereof, at will. She also needs very little sleep to run at pique performance, which is a blessing sometimes as well as a curse. [readers note: other muses will be unaware of this, the preceeding beginning with the form-change is only for the player of said muse.]

She is a very very good musician, and has perfected her skill in several instruments, including the lute, the harp, the guitar and the panpipes, which are her instrument of choice. She nearly always has a set with her, even when she is running missions- quite litterally.
She has a vast history, most of it taking place after she was "Chosen and bred.". She was chosen because of her promising skill with the bow (which is rare these days, except for among hunters) which she has perfected, and because she was one of the last of the able-bodied survivers, in a village that was far flung and they needed a messenger to run, and very fast and very steadily, for aid to help some of the sick ones there.

She enjoys a good story, histories, songs and composing music for various instruments including the lute, the guitar and the harp.

She does not enjoy when people take advantage of others, or when something nasty is done to someone else.She knows what honor and loyalty are, and is both of these things and so much more.
She has a stubborn streack that has very nearly cost her friends, and she doesn’t trust most men, though she will talk to one if they address her. She can sometimes be a bit proud, but this pride is most often pardonable. She tends to be very strict when it comes to her code; something that has sometimes made her seem like a hard nosed bitch, but she isn’t much inclined to care. Once you know her however, and become her friend, she is that for life, unless you hurt another she is close to, then you’d better have a damned good explanation as to why you’ve done so.
